Jost Hausendorf

Position: Masters student

Research Rewards, adaptation, challenge and motor learning

Year: 2024

Jost joins us from Trinity Western University where he completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology. He is originally from Germany and was recruited to play soccer at TRU and more recently for the UBC men's league winning team. Jost has been helping collect data using eye tracking on a motor imagery study led by Matt Scott (current postdoc). We have Jost involved in the women soccer pathway's study and he is also analyzing data where a challenge-based adaptive protocol has been studied in a dart-throwing task. For his thesis, he has been studying if and how rewards independently affect processes of adaptation. He is due to defend early April 2026.
