Tom Coppola

Position: Alumni

Research Observational learning and insight

Year: 2010

Tom graduated with a MKIN degree in 2014. He started as a MSc student but switched to the MKIN degree as his passion for Parkour and the Origins Parkour facility in Vancouver started to grow and consume his time. When Tom was engaged in research he was involved in 2 major projects. The first was designed to study what people learn, or think they learn from watching others (using a juggling skill). This has since been published in Psych Research. The second project involved the study of self-led practice and how choice and uncertainty in practice conditions affects how people learn. This work is still in progress. In Tom's spare time you will find him running around Vancouver and jumping on and off buildings.
