Research Motor expertise and skill development

Year: 2010

Originally I am from Falkirk, in central Scotland, and am currently on a two-year sabbatical from my position as a sports lecturer at Forth Valley College.  Before arriving at UBC, I was also heavily involved in youth soccer coaching and worked for both the Scottish F.A. and Glasgow Rangers F.C.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Sport & Exercise Science at Edinburgh Napier University and applied to the Motor Skills Lab as a means of understanding more about optimal practice conditions and develop my research skills. Presently, my main research interests are in the areas of motor expertise and skill development. In addition to my soccer interests, I like to travel, and enjoy exploring the outdoors with my partner, Kimberly, in beautiful British Columbia.
