Motor planning and movement imagery-online
Participants are needed for a UBC study to investigate processes used when imagining and planning actions.
Participants will be asked to complete keypress sequences and judge whether an image is of a right or left hand. This study is being run by the Motor Skills Lab in the School of Kinesiology by principal investigator Dr. Nicola Hodges.
It is anticipated that the study will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. It is fully online, requiring only a computer (laptop or desktop) with a device to play audio (speakers or headphones).
Criteria for participation: 1) Over the age of 18 yr, 2) Normal or corrected-to-normal vision and colour vision, 3) No existing injuries that would prevent being able to do keypresses, 4) No known neurological disorder, 5) Good understanding of English (to follow both written & verbal instructions).
We are particularly interested in recruiting participants over the age of 60 years.
Thank you.
